Jameson Distillery, Dublin
The listed building, on Bow Street has been home to Jameson owners, Irish Distillers since 1780. The Distillery has been refurbished to include repair of masonry fire chambers relating to two historic distilling coppers, structural upgrade of a significant timber trusswork beam and improved interpretation of the surviving industrial heritage. Internal refurbishment has been carried out to provide appropriate visitor facilities designed to meet the changing business needs of the client and to ensure that the Old Jameson Distillery remains a viable tourist attraction within the city. The age of the building brought with it specific challenges for the team who worked closely with the conservation architects to ensure that the historic fabric of the building was protected. We provided full Civil & Structural Engineering for the project.
