The Portmarnock development site consists of 40 hectares of residential land, zoned with an appropriate density to achieve 1,200 new residential units. We have been appointed as Civil & Structural Engineers for the overall masterplanning of the site, and through from planning to construction stages for the overall development which has been constructed in a number of separate phases. Planning permission for the different phases of the development have been submitted to An Bord Pleanála under the Strategic Housing Development (SHD) process.

    The development includes include detached, semi-detached, terraced and duplex units along with a commercial block, and has involved several different forms of construction which were adopted for different phases of the scheme. The recent phases of the development also required compliance with the new NZEB standards in accordance with the revised Part L of the Building Regulations.
