Canal Loop Cycle Greenway, Dublin

The Canal Loop cycleway project will link up the Grand Canal Cycleway and the Royal Canal Cycleway with a 5.8km cycleway through the Village of Lucan and surround areas. This will create an overall 35km “loop” around Dublin City Centre. This initiative will better connect people, shops, schools, businesses, parks, and recreational facilities across Dublin.  This project involves the construction of a number of footbridges across roads and rivers, and the development of shared cycle and pedestrian facilities.

We were commissioned to undertake an options selection process, produce a feasibility report, conceptual design, and prepare planning documentation including EIA Screening Report and AA Screening Report.
