    Road Safety

We were commissioned by Donegal County Council to undertake the role of Employer's Representative and to provide a Site Supervision Team for Phases 6 & 7 of the Transport Infrastructure Ireland Project Management Guidelines.

The proposed scheme, in close proximity to the Lough Swilly SAC, involves improvements to approximately 1.4km of the existing N56 Four Lane Road in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. The N56 Four Lane Road is the primary southern approach into Letterkenny and is the highest trafficked road in the region with recorded traffic volumes of up to 35,000 vehicles a day

Once completed, this scheme will significantly improve safety, functioning and capacity as well as promote a modal shift to sustainable transport with the inclusion of new cycleway and footway infrastructure, dedicated bus lay-bys and new route lighting to complement non-motorised road user facilities and landscaping.
