We were appointed by South Dublin County Council to undertake the Feasibility and Option Selection Report for the Canal Loop Urban Greenway. The length of the scheme is 5.8km. This new route aims to improve the public realm by providing a high-quality link for commuters and leisure cyclists between the proposed greenways along the Grand and Royal Canals. One of the aims of the scheme is to provide sustainable transport for Lucan Village, South Lucan and the Laraghcon area. This scheme caters for pedestrians and cyclists of differing abilities and ages, and along with the completion of the Grand and Royal Canal Greenways, will create a high-quality 40 km recreational cycle loop.
