We’re pleased to get started on the Luas Depot – Rooftop Solar PV Arrays project this week. Working with Transport Infrastructure Ireland we will design and build rooftop Solar PV arrays at the three LUAS depots in Sandyford, Red Cow and Broombridge.
These arrays will provide an opportunity to Transport Infrastructure Ireland to reduce their reliance on fossil fuel-based electricity, contributing to the decarbonisation of the Luas network with a renewable energy source.
Once completed, the LUAS and our rooftop Solar PV Arrays will provide a low carbon mobility solution for Dublin and utilise existing infrastructure to support the generation of renewable zero carbon electricity. All of these achievements will contribute to Transport Infrastructure Ireland’s public sector climate & energy targets set by the government for 2030.
