N55 Cashel Cross Safety Scheme, Cavan

A Road Safety Inspection (HD17) assessment on the N55 National Secondary Route identified the Cashel Cross Junction at the N55 as a high-risk location for road collisions. The junction is formed by a local primary road L-2506, the N55 Cavan to Ballinagh & local secondary road L-6568. This junction & approaches to it on the N55 has a history of fatal, minor injury and material damage collisions.

We were commissioned by Cavan County Council to to develop the Cashel Cross Safety Scheme through design, tender and construction to remedy the problem.
