Project ABC Beverage Manufacturing Facility, Kildare

Project ABC comprised the fast-track design & build conversion of an existing 30,000 m2 distribution centre in Newbridge, into a state of the art, beverage concentrate production facility. We delivered the civil and structural engineering design elements of the project. The existing building consisted of a large portal frame structure and adjoining offices built on pad foundations with a jointless ground floor slab. The portal frame required significant strengthening to accommodate the increased loading and the existing ground floor slab had to be replaced to allow for new foundations and to facilitate the installation of additional drainage. As well as the improvements to the existing structure, the project included the design of a new tank farm and wastewater treatment plant and the upgrade of access and external circulation routes.
