Microsoft Ireland Dublin Campus, Dublin

We were engaged as traffic consultants during the planning approval process for the Microsoft Ireland development in Leopardstown, Co. Dublin. Our duties included a traffic and transport assessment, mobility management plan, liaising with the client and local authority on adjoining road network developments and preliminary traffic management plan for construction phase.

These tasks were completed as part of Microsoft's consolidation into one single building, down from their previous residencies in four buildings in two separate business parks. Benefits, particularly of the mobility management plan we completed, include the promotion and delivery of Microsoft's sustainable transport objectives. These focus on an increase in accessibility to the site and a reduction in dependence on private car use associated primarily with commuter travel.
