Enniscorthy Sewerage Scheme, Wexford
Wastewater
We completed work on this project for all stages (i) to (v) from Preliminary Report/optioneering through detailed design, tendering, construction supervision, commissioning and handover. This scheme involves the construction of a verified hydraulic drainage model of the wastewater and stormwater sewers in the agglomeration, a new 26,200 PE wastewater treatment plant including sludge treatment and storm storage, the upgrade of seven pumping stations, the construction of a new package pump station, construction of new foul sewers, upgrading of existing foul sewers and rehabilitation of existing foul sewers.
The scheme was split into five contracts as follows:
- Contract No. 1 – Site Investigation Works
- Contract No. 2 – CCTV and Manhole Survey
- Contract No. 3 – Flow and Load Survey
- Contract No. 4 – new 26,200PE WwTP & sludge treatment facilities
- Contract No. 5 – foul and storm sewer network

- Provision of 2,300m³ storm storage
- Upgrade of pumping and control equipment at three satellite pump stations
- DN375 x 820m gravity sewer
- This project includes a 7-year operating contract
Contract No. 5
- Upgrading, rehabilitation and extension of the foul and storm sewer network including various pumping stations and decommissioning of CSO’s
- The data collection/hydraulic model build, and verification stage is in progress
