    Water Treatment

The Ring Helvick Water Supply Scheme is situated south of Dungarvan town in a very picturesque part of County Waterford. The Helvick Peninsula overlooks Dungarvan Bay, the Celtic Sea and is back dropped by the spectacular Comeragh glacial mountain range. The area has a vibrant local community with a number of local schools, local businesses, restaurants and public houses famed throughout the Country for its traditional music. The settlement pattern of the area is sporadic with the Gaeltacht classification of the surrounding lands influencing the development of the area. The existing water supply area includes a number of individual water supply schemes fed from independent borehole wells.

The purpose of the Ring Helvick Water Supply Scheme is to provide a cohesive water network by interconnecting the existing individually fed zones, providing a new borehole source at Mapestown and new storage facilities at Roberts Cross and Byrnes Road Reservoirs.
