The project comprises the implementation of a Feasibility Study for the Via Baltica Entrance to Riga ( Jaunciema Avenue to Vairoga Street). The Via Baltica is a strategic trans European route linking the Baltic States and eastern Russia to western Europe via Poland.
The Feasibility Study examines the route into and through Riga and identifies a proposed new alignment. The new route involves a seven-kilometre long four lane dual carriageway with two major interchanges, two overpasses, two other bridges and three kilometres of service and connecting roads to adjacent properties.
