Overend Way Junction Upgrade, Dublin

The upgrade of the Overend Way Junction at the Balally Luas Station included for detailed design improvements to the operation of the access junction to Balally Luas station and local businesses including removing the existing exit onto Overend Way. The junction was altered to facilitate two-way traffic, improved pedestrian crossing points, and provides new on and off-road cycle tracks along Overend Way and Overend Avenue to link with the Luas station.

This scheme regulated traffic flows while improving the movement of the large number of pedestrians and cyclists through the area. The overall scheme provided a significantly safer and enhanced environment for all users by way of improved road crossing points and a simplification of the junction layouts.
